New Work

Between representational landscape and paint is an enigmatic terrain of inferred meaning. This work plays on the edge of just enough paint to denote, but not enough to fall into a comfortable literality. The viewer is invited to peer into the diaphanous unknown at the end of a pier, or to emerge from within the veil of paint to cross a bridge into the present, but is left with the question, where are we? Anchored by a subtly of forms, the disorientation becomes existential. Contradiction is embedded in the possibility of our connectedness to both nature and language.
