"My work is based on my surroundings and the things I observe in everyday life. It is an un-personal diary, because I wish to keep it open for the viewers to have an inner dialogue with my paintings. Almost all my paintings are done by memory. Working this way gives me room to search and be inventive. The struggles and discoveries I face in the paintings add to the hybrid of the image - the dream world. By painting these images I am able to translate in paint the emotions I felt while experiencing what I saw or lived through."
